  I was shocked to see my 3 yr old granddaughter crying crocodile tears after spending 1 1/2 hrs reading with her grandmother and doing puzzles. She was so excited that she completed this and wanted to go to the counter and receive her "prize" for participating and was told by a clerk that she needed" the form" to get anything. We were caring for her while her parents were out of town, so didn't have the paper. Her mother takes her to the library every week and she so loves it. You really know how to break a little girls heart which was already broken because her parents where out of town and she was missing them so we took her to her favorite place. It is not the prize, which amounts to a bookmark, or something very small, but rather how it was handled. It could have been handled a better way, like "here sweety nice job". Every child who comes to the library and spends time learning, should be encouraged and even "rewarded" with at the very least, a bookmark.This is a wonderful facility with one bad experience.
